Expensive Home Insurance? Don’t Forget The Contents!

Yes, you have an expensive, beautiful home! Another thing you know for a fact is the lender who funded the loan made sure they were the annuitant of a fire policy in case that beauty burned to the ground. Actually, in most all 50 states you can’t close escrow without one. It’s their financial parachute. Okay. Did you bother to peek at the high value house insurance policy mouseprint to see if it covers all the items inside your home? Some do, some don’t, except for a policy “rider” that may list a few inside furnishings that are covered. They call them contents.

But what if that high value house insurance policy doesn’t offer coverage on all your valuables and you lose everything, and have to start all over again? A good high value policy is flexible enough to take into account all of the valuable items like computers, televisions, kitchen equipment, furniture, drapes and other expensive stuff. Think of it this way. When shopping for a high value house insurance policy that is the right fit will the policy insure coverage on everything of value inside your home that you could take with you, if you had to move?
